Dear Parents/Guardians and Students, Our students have worked diligently this year and have made excellent progress in all subject areas. Research shows that students may lose up to two months of grade level equivalency over the summer. To help combat this, Caravel Academy requires summer reading and math work for students entering grades five through twelve. Information about these summer assignments for math and reading can be found by clicking the Summer Work Folder button below. It is also on RenWeb under Resource Documents. In addition, some high school courses like Advanced Placement do require summer work. Please refer to the Course Selection Booklet by clicking the Course Selection Book button to verify which classes may require additional work. Have a safe and happy summer, Alison L. Harper Director of Curriculum and Instruction As a result of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, states are required to provide public access to sex offender information through the internet to help protect children and communities. In Delaware, Title 11, Sections 4120 and 4121 of the Delaware code requires the Delaware State Police to maintain a registry of sex offenders available to the public via the internet. This registry is available through the State Bureau of Identification.
