Alumni Tuition Scholarship
The Alumni Association Scholarship Committee awarded the George E. Glynn Alumni Tuition Scholarship to senior, Sarah Smith. Sarah was the sophomore class treasurer during the 2016-2017 school year and the junior class president during the
2017-2018 school year. She has been a member of the Girl Scouts since 2005 where she earned her Bronze Award in 2013, Silver in 2015, and is currently working towards her Gold Award.
As a member of National Honor Society and Senior Tri-M, Sarah completes many hours of community service each year. Sarah participates in Model United Nations and is the delegation’s Youth Secretariat this year. She participates in Mock Trial and is on the Youth Philanthropy Board, which is a committee of 30 high school students who work with the Delaware Community Foundation to raise money for charitable organizations. She is a member of the Caravel Student Government since 2015 and Relay for Life since 2016. Sarah played field hockey, lacrosse, and is a member of the swim team. In addition to these activities, Sarah sings in the Women’s Ensemble and Elite Ensemble. Sarah has worked with the Special Olympics for the past 2 years and was on the Prom Committee last year. Sarah plans to major in nursing and double minor in business and psychology. Her goal is to pursue a law degree to become a nurse-lawyer.
