The Caravel Alumni Association “Legacy Award” was presented to Amanda Stull at the Commencement Ceremony on June 6, 2018. Her leadership skills and “can do” attitude will be remembered on campus for years to come. She has a bright future as a prominent “leader for tomorrow”.
She devoted countless hours to leading by example as the junior and senior class president and the National Honor Society president. Amanda also participated in Model UN, Youth in Government, Science Olympiad, Math League, Odyssey of the Mind and the varsity softball team during her four years at Caravel Academy.
“I have attempted to be a good role model for others in showing that excellence in academics, athletics, and extracurricular activities is achievable. I hope that I have been able to inspire my fellow classmates while also being a friendly face that is always open to a conversation.”
In the fall, she will be attending Duke University in Durham, North Carolina to major in biomedical engineering.

2017 Alumni Legacy
The 2017 Alumni Legacy Award was presented to Drew Rollins ’17 at the Commencement ceremony in June. He was recognized as a genuine “Caravel Treasure” because of his academic talents, athletic skills, leadership qualities and infectious personality. School staff and fellow students have valued his work ethic and character and his peers voted him “Most beautiful inside and out” for the list of senior superlatives. The Alumni Association is proud to add this amazing “gem” to its treasure chest of graduates!
2016 Alumni Legacy
Our “Legacy Award” was presented to Charles Doordan ’16 at graduation on June 8th, 2016. He was recognized for upholding the traditional American values upon which our school was founded in 1979. Charlie is a “Caravel Original”, attending Caravel for fourteen years, a member of the National Honor Society, soccer player and captain in his senior year, and Senior Class Treasurer. Most importantly he exemplifies Caravel’s mission statement by consistently displaying honesty, personal integrity, and good sportsmanship in all areas of his life. He received a check for $200.00 from the Alumni Association and an engraved brick in the Alumni Courtyard. Charlie will be attending Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida to major in marine biology.
