Caravel Academy, a private college preparatory school, upholds the values of honesty, personal integrity, and good sportsmanship. Our mission is to inspire students to develop a love of learning and empower them to become self-sufficient adults through an effective and challenging instruction, extra-curricular activities and a wide range of experiences in a safe and supportive community.

Caravel Academy is a coeducational, independent, non-profit school of approximately 1065 pupils. It is located in Bear, Delaware. The school consists of:

• an Early Education School (3 year olds - kindergarten with approximately 140 students), 
• a Lower School (Grades 1-4 with approximately 310 students) 
• a Middle School (Grades 5-8 with approximately 315 students), and 
• an Upper School (Grades 9-12, with approximately 300 students)

Caravel Academy uses the Edline service to streamline the flow of information between school and home.  Teachers post homework assignments, student grades, and classroom information. Each student (grades 5-12) has an individual account so that they can see their individual classes and their individual grade reports.  Each parent (grades PreK - 12) has an individual account so they can see each of their children's classes and grade reports. Students can see only  their own grade reports; parents can  see only the grade reports of their own children.
